For a 5yr old, sure has a lot of spunk. Glad no one was hurt and that the cop was able to get him pulled over safely.

According to the story, the kid had an argument with his mom about buying a Lambo. She said no so he decided to drive out with $3 and buy his own. So he got the key to the car and headed out. Go figure.

I'm thinking a future Republican. A future Democrat would consider a Lambo' an entitlement, sit on his ass, and wait for the government to buy one for them.

I met somebody who's kid was obsessed with buying and selling collectible basketball shoes. He was concerned that the kid wasn't focusing on his schoolwork. But, when the kid ordered a new M3 as a high school graduation present to himself, paid cash for it, and picked it up in Munich, the father stopped worrying. The father eventually quit his job and went to work for his kid.

I met the two when I sold the son my E46 M3. He was building a collection of each generation M3/4's.

A funny story and you clowns are trying to attach political motivations to it. Freaking amazing.

Kids has a lot of ambition. If they don't restrain him he will go far in life.

I was suprised he was able to see and reach the pedals. Yes he will go far if the police do not catch him next time. I imagine his parents will secure their car keys better.

One thing is we insure the car not the driver. Had he had an accident does the insurance company pay? The parents get sued?

Parents are responsible for damages caused by the willful actions of their minor children. General liability is covered by homeowners/renters insurance. Auto-liability insurance covers the actions of anybody the car's owner gives permission to operate the car. So, if he'd hurt somebody or damaged property, it might be the homeowners insurance writer who'd have got stuck with the bill.

I friend of mine had his car hit by another car. The car was owned by a young adult's parents, but the car was in the physical custody of the young adult. The young adult let a friend drive the car. The insurance company tried to weasel out of paying for the damges by saying that the car owners (the parents) didn't give their adult son's friend permission to drive the car, therefore they were not liable for the damages.

Ridiculous exaggeration is satire. Most people recognize that.

The kid has potential. :)

I guess 45 is not the only person who does not understand the term.

barry12345 05-09-2020 10:48 AM

That does have to be almost record breaking young though. Where the child actually drives somewhere. Imagine the reaction if he had stopped for gas. Or hit a toll both.

Not in my experience. On this board, at any rate.

If you need to get ridiculously exaggerated in order to have your modestly proposed satirical effort understood, you have been forced to exceed the aims of good satire.

One might as well go for the absurd, and skip satire altogether.
