New LUK clutch kit was a mix bag of wrong parts

Thought I would vent and maybe warn people.
I have had great luck with LUK clutches in my past working on BMWs. So when getting everything to do a 5 speed swap to my w124 I decided to get the 11-035 kit.
First I messed up, I was suppose to order the 11-005, the main difference is, the 35 is suppose to have a 24 spline disc and the 05 has a 26, and I needed a 26.

So when the 11-035 kit arrived, I checked to make sure the splines worked together and they did, cool, so went to install the kit and the pressure plate mounting holes won’t line up, they are spaced prefectly, but it’s like they where drilled to inboard.

Upon a long investigation I found that the pressure plate part number in the box fits w111, G class, and a couple busses, not the w124 or the w201 (that the trans is out of) but also confusing is the plate worked, and it wasn’t suppose to.
what was suppose to be in the box was a 24 tooth, not a 26. So some how I got the correct disc I needed, but incorrect for what I ordered (if that makes sense)

Long story short, it’s another dumb snag I ran in to with this swap and tomorrow I will go out and try and get a Sachs

That sucks .

Back when I had my indie VW shop I had mixed results with LUK clutches ~ the discs were O.K. but the pressure plates were often poorly made and this was back when everything was still all German made .

The more I thought about it, the more I remember selling the cars after I installed the LUK, the e34 I had for 5 years I did a Sachs.

I wasn’t able to find a Sachs locally, so I guess I’m gonna try another LUK so I can get the car back on the road, this time the 05 part number and hope for the best
