I know lots of people that have had it. Friend of mine was going around saying it was a hoax, it's no worse than the flu, he wasn't scared etc. Then his niece gave it to his brother who almost died. The tune changed.

Stupid is as stupid does .

I hope no one died, we've been getting reports of out lying relatives and Foster parents getting sick and some dying .

Apparently it's a rough way to go .

Nobody I know personally has died, but a friend of my brothers has, as well as relatives of two colleagues of mine and I know multiple other colleagues who are currently sick. Hopefully vaccines will start ramping up soon. I've just registered for my second shot February 04th.

T, does your paperwork tell how many and which antibodies/antigens were tested for?

When I catch a cold of flu virus, I get a scratchy throat and a swollen tongue. But, it goes away in a day or so. The last time I was really sick with the flu was 2017, and I was really sick. That was right after I had a visitor from South Africa at my house. Maybe I caught something from him my body had never seen before. I got better, but then got sick again. Frau Putzer got sick three times after catching it from me.

Three weeks ago I woke up with red, watery eyes and sinus pressure in only my left sinus cavity. My throat and tongue were fine. In six hours, my symptoms were gone. Maybe it was an allergy, maybe not.

It can take three or four weeks after COVID-19 infection before it shows up on an anti-body test. There are also other COVID viruses that will cause a positive COVID-19 test result.

My 80 year old neighbor got it and it wasn't too bad. A 50-something year old friend got it as was sick for weeks, almost to the point of being hospitalized. Another friend's wife is a nurse. Both of them and their two kids got it. The father and one kid didn't have symptoms. The mother and one kid had them, but not life threatening.

The vastly different outcomes are why a lot of people thing it's a hoax.

no.

We are now scheduled for the vaccine. Feb. 3 and Feb 17.

I keep hearing of outlying relatives and co workers etc. getting covid-19, I'm still trying to get vaccinated ~ I got an E-Mail from my health dept. telling me to fill it out, after many pages and over 1/2 hour I was finished, clicked 'enter' and was told "NO APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE " (!) .

Why in the jumping blue blazes didn't they say that on the first page ?!

There are scams surrounding thes vaccines apparently but this experience is similar to mine. In AZ we had to fill out several pages worth of information before you get to the actual page to book an appointment. Only to find that none are available. We had to keep going back to different days until we finally found an available slot. Took my wife and I several hours total.

My wife was trying to get an appointment for my father in law and was constantly told no slots available. She keep trying repeatedly for a week before one opened up. It's a damned frustrating experience.
