d16y7 honda motor

oil cap and inside top of rocker arm cover milky deposits. watched a video that say could be normal for winter, short trips. no milky coolant,or dip stick. I did not know this was possible.

Do a hot oil & filter change then take a 45 minute highway road trip for coffee or whatever...

That'll either heat the oil enough to evaporate the water out or disclose there's a problem .

Yes, many newer engines sludge up, I can't imagine why ~ poor design IMO .

Good to hear you're able to tackle jobs like this again .

I'd say related to meeting emissions.....just not getting enough ventilation to clear them out.

Post Crankcase Ventilation

the PCV system is closed so there's no excuse for it ever not doing a good job .

I've added PCV's to many vintage engines .

found out, aluminum will condensate faster than cast iron
