Suez canal ship?
This is sizing up to be a potentially gigantic game changer. I can see this becoming part of a military flare up.
So how will it be removed? 1. tug it off the sand? 2. Dig out under it? 3. Dig out so boats can go around it? 4. Blow it to bits? I am thinking answer three.

I say build a dam on each side and float it up. Probably only take a few feet. Or use those giant bags for salvaging sunken ships. I guess time is of the essence but they should have several solutions in progress.

Running an effective dam across the canal on each side would have been a tall order. Would have taken a gazillion sand bags. But it's an interesting idea.
