Help Me Please

I need to know what the device is called that I can attach to my wrist or ankle and it will tell me how many miles I"ve walked or jogged.

I need to also know what the best way to travel by air with a set of golf clubs is, how they should be packed, etc....

Why are pushups so hard? I can only do about 40 and have been at it for 3 months! Also why does my left elbow sometimes hurt after doing pushups? What am I doing wrong?

The device is a podometer.

40 pushups after 3 months of work? Keep working, you'll get there.

hi james!

i can DEFINITELY help you with the golf club thingy! i've got LOTS of traveling experience, and i used to work for lawyers -- and their ONE MOST IMPORTANT BAG was their golf bag!!

what i would do for them is to be sure that everything is placed securely in the bag -- if it were to get tossed around a bit, nothing would fall out.

then i would wrap either a very heavy-weight trash bag or a canopy bag around the top of the bag to cushion the club heads.

depending on how many bags you are checking, you can put them through as a piece of checked baggage, or if you'd like, you can also pay an extra $15-20 and have it checked as "special/oversized baggage," which is usually placed in a special pat of the baggage hull.

hope this is helpful. have a safe trip!

peace, michael.

Pedometer

James,

I think it's pedometer. On the push ups, you can't do them the same way for more than three weeks at a time and make any real progress. Try varying them by doing ones with your hands close together. Think you had a hard time getting to forty???? Also, try to do ones with you feet higher than your head.

Go down to your local magazine store and pick up Muscle Development magazine. Besides pretty girls, it'll put you onto info about protein supplements. Can't build muscle without protein.

Add bench dips to your drill too. With your back to the bench and hands at shoulder width apart on the bench, bend at the elbows until your forearms are parallel with the floor, then back up to arms straight. Builds up the triceps next to the biceps.

Keep cranking

Ben.

Golf Clubs

James,

I can't help you with the pushups, but I work overseas in Indonesia and we have a golf course and a lot of avid golfers here at our site.

The best way to transport the clubs is to get one of those hard plastic cases that totally surround the clubs and locks them up. If you're traveling in this part of the world, your luggage will take some serious abuse (such as my batle scarred Zero Halliburton suitcase). I wouldn't trust anything with a soft side, particularly if you have a good set of clubs.

A locked plastic case is better with the security of your clubs, too. Clubs are much more expensive in Asia (at least here) than the States and I would worry about theft if I had a nice bag that said "Callaway Golf" on the side. If you've got good clubs, you don't want them ripped off.

Good luck, guy. My $.02 worth.

Jim
