Anybody know small compressors well?

I have the small Emglo hand hoisted two tanker compressor. Small sort of, it's way heavy. It has been working sporadically lately, tonight I discovered why, it has a small leak at a fitting where the compressor feeds air into the tank. I drew an arrow on the fitting pointing to the gushing air.

Anybody know what that part is?

Here it is from further away for easier navigation:

Pretty generic part. Just need to match the threading for replacement.

Looks like a relief valve.

The relief valve is in the upper right of the picture. It is the valve/fitting with the ring attached to it.

The item you arrowed is the check valve.

It is hex on the end, I didn’t try turning it, I wanted to learn more about it first.

It’s kind of buried, so I didn’t get the model number right away, I’ll do that soon and investigate.

My recent issues with an old small compressor were cured by tightening everything up. the vibrations are significant. I'll guess you already tried to tighten?

Imo haffa tighten up on that chit. I have a much smaller compressor that is good for one man band action - really easy to haul around. I'm afraid I'll pull a muscle someday hoisting that Emglo aloft. Sucker is heavy.

It looks a lot prettier than the ones I see going for $100 on Craigslist. Might even get $110.

Maybe, I found the parts list for that model and they refer to it as a check valve, here's the part:

Neither that one or the one you link is a great visulal match for the one on my machine. I'll take it off to see if I can get more clues that way. Thing is in a tight spot. Might take a bit of doing.

Thank you for your valuable input citizen. The secretary will take note of your service.

That is the part, 99.9% certain. I guess I’ll take it out to be certain.
