All alcohol should be banned from planes. If you are that purile you have to drink you can stay home.

and yet AA continues to serve booze to its passengers. AA says they are all about 'passenger safety' and yet their actions say otherwise......

Flight time LAX-SLC is about 2 hrs. Figure 15m to taxi to.thr run way, 1/2 he till cruise altitude. That already puts you close to an hour into the flight before you get your first drink. I'm guessing this guy was loaded before he got on board. May have his it or he may have had other issues going on as well. To me it looked more like a mental break than him being drunk.

Furthermore, the flight crew is not going to just keep feeding this.dude drinks if they see he is drinking excessively. Their job is hard enough dealing with asshats on the flight. They are not going to add to it.

As normal, Husky makes a post with out any knowledge about the rest of the story.

Question; how many drunks should AA allow to board before they are 'at capacity'?

He may be a nutter but he was clearly drunk as well. Should never have been allowed on board and definately should not have been allowed any alcohol once he did get on. I'll reiterate. Alcohol should be banned on planes and if it were up to me breathalysers for anyone about to board who looks suspicious. They fail they walk. They don't like it tough ****.

Post How Many ?

That's a good question husky man ~

For me, zero but many (? most ?) are able to take a drink or three and not become raging *********s .

Maybe have a special drinkers only flight ? . the drunks I remember growing up with, would rush to a drinks only flight .

Every time I think you have made the dumbest comment possible you prove me wrong. Stop it. I hate being wrong.

My guess is that there were no indicates on the ground. If he kept quiet and just walked on board, no one would have noticed. Also, I seem to recall (not going to look it up now) that altitude can affect sobriety intensity.

I do not disagree with banning alcohol.

apparently, AA disagrees with banning alcohol. They are making way too much $$$$$ to stop serving passengers their favorite drinks. What else is there to do at 30,000 feet?

In first class, booze is free. If you look at the leg room it is easy to tell.....well for anyone who has flown so I guess you get a pass on that one since you have never been on a plane before.

Post ? Is This So ?

I didn't realize AA charged any money .

I've known several who went through AA, it helped most but there's always a chapter that's fake and run by a drunk who talks the talk then takes those who don't want to or cannot quit, out drinking after every meeting .

I don't think banning alcohol is necessary in general but if you're going to act like an A-Hole in public, be ready to be silenced by whatever non lethal means are necessary .

Some learn from jail time, others do not .
