You might need to press the matter to find out.

I also am of the opinion that jogging is overrated. I think much better is something that we used to do in my high school track workouts, it’s an interval training sort of thing, the Swedish word is “fartlek.”

As goofy highschoolers we got a kick out of that word. Ideally done on grass or a beach - you sprint for 100 yards, and then jog for about 100-200 yards. You can get in a pretty good workout in about a mile’s distance. But long jogging, especially on asphalt or the worst, concrete, is not good. Too much impact on the joints.

I suspect playing basketball on concrete and asphalt courts degraded my knees somewhat.

Good going. They last a long time these days. Now you’ll need a special pass to get on a plain which makes you even more special.

What’s the service interval on that?

Actually, grass fed butter is put into a standard caulking tube, you have to warm it to 85°, then put it in a grease gun, and grease those fittings God dammit!

Statistics are in your favor.

I grew up playing baseball as a catcher. Played until I was 21. Followed that up with several years of motocross and a few decades of jogging. How I’ve dodged this bullet is beyond me.

Very best of luck with it and keep us posted.

Have a buddy who recently got both done at same time. Skied moguls for years, is a big guy, thus was not surprising his knees were toast. He does not remember the day he tried but could not get into the 47 jeep presurgery and last weekend he did so with ease. His goal? Skiing this winter.

The thought of doing them both at the same time is mind boggling. I would not advise it. It's a long grind, I'm not out of the woods yet.

Did all the sports as a kid , started jogging 5 years ago after cutting out all my bad previous habits , that slowed down to a walk a year later , at 57 now have joint aches , otherwise in good health . I believe a doctor is like a psychologist, tells you good things but enough bad to keep you coming back .
