Opening monologue from George Carlin’s “Life is worth losing.“

https://youtu.be/wbGR0TGJv7g

I’m spending time in a rehab center post knee surgery, which means I have time on my hands. A friend texted me about George Carlin movies online, I found “life is worth losing” on Amazon prime.

Thanks, I was told that it would be no walk in the park, but I didn’t fully grasp the concept. It’s only been six days, and I’m feeling quite a bit better, so I’m staying patient. I just did a walk with a rehab nurse, she says my walking is looking pretty good for this stage. This is my first episode using a walker, and I am doing so utterly without shame.

The whole thing will hopefully make me more patient, and who knows, wise perhaps. The staff here at the rehab center, which is more or less a nursing home, are some pretty decent people. Things could sure be worse.

I’m watching more of the full video, and holy crap, he’s not pulling any punches, heads into some dark territory.
