I knew a dog groomer who had been bit in the face by hers , it’s about space , it doesn’t seem that hard to understand when buyers get them , it’s a tough status they then clamor too , showing it as a reason to beware of my dog , when they get out , then the claim is ,” he is so sweet ,” that’s not my dogs behavior . They should be held with an insurance of the highest amount possible for a pit owner , $400 a month, if they want to own then the pay a premium to own .

It should come to that. Even then victims like that ten year old boy in Richmond, CA about 10, 15 years ago who got chewed by 3 pits and lost muscles in his face and neck is not well compensated by money.

Hadn't read much about the Cane Corso dog breed.

This site compares the breed to be similar to the pitbull but typically larger:

That’s the type of dog that killed the lady soccer coach in a San Francisco apartment. She was about to go in her apartment and the dog attacked. Scary dogs.

I had a pitbull for a while. Beautiful dog. He could be dog aggressive but was very sweet with people. It's rarely the breed that's the problem, more likely irresponsible breeders or owners.

Pitbull is not a breed-it's just a name-there is no purebred Pitbull. A "Pitbull" is a mixed breed of any number of different dogs. So it is impossible to say a dog is a Pitbull. Here's a little more insite.

Wow, that’s the worst incident I’ve heard about. There are problems with aggressive homeless people in San Francisco now and then. I’ve encountered it a few times but nothing anywhere near that.

Video of one of the dogs:

https://abc7.com/thousand-oaks-dog-attack-teen-girl-hospitalized-ventura-county-news/12399852/

Difficult to understand that anyone would want a dog that has been purposely bred to overpower and kill what it attacks. Unless that is what they want from a dog.

Some unusual and shocking information at that site.

Quote:
In 2017, pit bulls killed 13,000 dogs, 5,000 cats, and 20,000 horses.
The stat on horses is the one that really caught my eye. And it only makes sense. Large carnivores/ predators tend to prey on grazing mammals in the wild. Further, domestic horses these days, almost certainly have very little experience with predators. Plus they are generally locked in a confined space. This article was interesting:

Quote:
Community members in Hendry County are keeping their fences locked after a neighbor’s two Pitbulls fatally attacked a horse.

Hendry County homeowner Kristina showed WINK News the spot where she watched two Pitbulls attack her neighbor’s horse Saturday.

Kristina said, “it was just unbelievable. Completely unbelievable. We basically just got the dogs off of the horse called the neighbor. And then we just call the police.”

I’m thinking one of the main reasons to pack a handgun in future might be to kill rogue dogs.

This scene from “No Country for Old Men” comes to mind. If you’ve not seen it, don’t worry, there is no major plot spoiler going on here, if anything, it might interest you in seeing it. Was an interesting flick, I thought. One little game you can play with it is to think about what you might’ve done differently at various points.

Watching this again, it occurred to me how he blew it in this piece of the drama. What would you have done differently?

Smile B.S.'ing Again

LOL ! I can dig wanting to carry in Bakersfield, Ca. but if you shoot anyone in California you're in for serious **** .

I always get a kick out of the armchair goofs who rant about guns, few know how to properly hold / operate one .

Reality ain't Rambo, that's why we love his movies .

Post Stupidity

That's so stupid it's hard to watch .

The pitbull wasn't attacking, it wanted to play with her dog ~ she should have left immediately .
