Can't see owning a dog from a breed that has such an unpredictable attack history.

I read about that one. Truly shocking.

I honestly think some people think their balls get bigger if they have the biggest, strongest dog in the neighborhood. Or think something pretty close to that anyway.

I agree, definitely a quirk in their mental makeup. I see it as stubborn stupidity to defend ownership. Too many other dogs to choose from that would make a more trustworthy companion.

The breed was developed to do what they do. Definitely not a family dog and continues to prove that they are unpredictable.

Unpredictability combined with awesome power. And not awesome in a nice way.

This woman was attacked earlier this year. Found the article because she was arrested on drug charges.

A nearby 'low life' to a lake property we go to almost daily breeds pitbulls. He doesn't have a fenced yard and leaves the dogs out most of the day. One larger one has been growling and baring his teeth recently.

Animal control will not come out even though the dogs should be contained or leashed.

Sheriff's deputies ignore the problem.

So I've been reading about the breed.

People are nuts.

I bred them for years, for wild boar hunting, not fighting. very good dogs. alot of drug dealers have them for police dogs, most minorities say they have them to hunt white men..

Selective breeding is why they are so dangerous. They can be un-expectably triggered to attack. Once they attack they don't want to stop.
