Started at 60 for me. Prostate enlarged very quickly and now seems to have stabilized. PSA also escalated rapidly and has not changed for 5 years. Suddenly found I could not completely empty my bladder and it would take 10min to pee. Really disturbed my sleep.

Update: following the Aquablation surgery on April 26, 2023, I am now able to pee normally. The final catheter will be removed Friday, May 26.

Great News !

I still have a decent stream but I think about this discussion every time I P. |
The Aquablation surgery is relatively new. Instead of using a laser to reduce the size of the prostrate, a cool water jet is used. I am very pleased. Complete recovery where I was able to pee normally was about 3 weeks. The surgery was performed at Huntington Hospital, Pasadena, by Dr. Dikarian. One night in the hospital.
