Wink I thought that I had a bad day, BUT I was wrong.

I burned a vacation day today to work on my youngest daughter's VW. Pulled the wheels to check the brakes and found a cracked rear rotor and that it needed brakes all around. Off to the parts house. Started the job and broke the 8MM allen socket. Off to Sears for a new one. Found the rear caliper was bad and no one, even my local VW dealer, had one in stock. OK started on the front brakes, snapped off the bleader screw. Drilled it and inserted an easy- out. Snapped off the easy-out. Ordered an other caliper. The car is on jack stands in my driveway and my daughter will be using my truck until the parts come next Monday.
Sounds like a bad day, but it wasn;t. Why. Because I had a four year old blonde granddaughter helping me. She helped jack up the car with a floor jack. She removed the lug nuts with an impact gun, with help. She handed me tools and ask the same questions a million times. She learned the colors red and blue from the locktite she handed me and she learned numbers by looking for an eleven MM wrench in a big toolbox.
Ya, I guess that I have something to be thankful for.
