Wow. We lost a Stealh Fighter jet?
Looks like it is in one of those lakes. But how do we have no clue of the flight path. The other plane didn't notice it?
No one saw it splash down? And we don't yet know why the pilot ejected? https://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/nation/2023/09/18/a-stealth-f-35-fighter-jet-went-down-in-s-c-its-proving-hard-to-find/70889673007/ |
I would have thought there would be a debris field somewhere whether it be water or land. I'm guessing they will find it but I would not have thought it would be that hard.

Didnt see that coming, , , (!)

I wonder why the black box isn't pinging.

the title of the OP is humorous; NEWS FLASH: none of the equipment that belongs to the U.S. government is ours. None of it, nada, zilch, NOTHING. The moment your money passes over into their hands, you gave up all rights, titles and interests in any of it. You have no say-so with what they do with "your" tax dollars". NONE. You can, of, course, try and vote one tyrant into office to replace another tyrant, however that idea failed from the get-go. Isn't waking up to the fact that you have been POWERLESS from the moment you took your first breath FUN?
second NEWS FLASH; Property of the U.S. government is property of the U.S. government. Ok, time to go back to sleep....... |

Very sad! The ridiculous explanations the government has come up with to explain why the location of the plane was unknown defy logic - might play with the public, but absolute BS from a technical view point.

I'm not surprised at all. I'd bet the local metal recyclers are getting all sorts of F150s full of interesting metal. :D

Turns out the plane flew on for a long time, like half hour ? after the pilot ejected. So why then did he feel the need? I have to check the recent news ...

Magoo & hunter possibly sold it.

The smaller, gray cylinder is the pinger. They can take a 20g whack and survive 20,000 feet of depth. They ping for about 30 days after activation by being exposed to water. |
There's a rule in Naval Aviation that you don't talk about a crash until the facts are in. So, it will be a while before the public knows what happened.
It's weird that a pilot would punch out of an airplane that's still flying. |
