Does it make you disgusted?

I don't know how much you guys love mb but does it bother you sometimes when you see another benz on the road that is totally neglected by it's owner? There are the so called "non" car people who dont care about the appearance of thier benz like neglected rims with years of brake dust. Your like "how can they do this to thier car"? Yea to some owners it's just transportation but mb is a special car that deserves special pampering.

I think this has ben discussed but, yes it does make me disgusted when I see this happening to a Benz. I worked at a car wash part time and their was, here and there, a Benz or two that would come with neglected rims and swirled up paint. My neighbour bought a 1984 190E and she neglected it for the 3 years she had it, and then sold it for the new Jeep Grand Cherokee which is on it's way to being neglected also.

It is a sad world sometimes when it comes to cars.

It's a anomaly that spans beyond just the condition of cars...everything they own is treated as such!

I've met people who were obviously affluent, but everything they owned was dilapitated...from the condition of the vehicles, to the slow erosion of their incredibly customized homes, including abhorrent grooming habits!

I'm not sure what the source of this condition is, but I believe they are just slobs...doesn't matter how much (or little) money is involved, it permeates all aspects of their lives.

I can't criticize though...many that I know have hearts of gold! And that's more important anyway, isn't it?

Saw one last night

Went to the Angels vs A's game last night in Anaheim. Toyota sponsors a year-end drawing for a new car. Each home game they search the parking lot for a P.O.S. and offer the owner a entry into the raffle on Fan Appreciation Day.

Last night the P.O.S. was a 123 with dents, hanging plastic from the bumpers, bad paint, etc. The announcer had fun intimating that the owner would love a new Toyota Matrix. OUCH!

I parked at an eatery the other night next to a triple black CLK430 convertible. It had a large number of door dings, and a the passenger side mirror was smashed to bits and hanging on the side of the car. The car should be taken away...

I could consume some serious bandwith with pics of some of the piles that I repair on a daily basis. It is truly sad.

To be honest....

...I kind of don't care what people do to their cars. As long as they don't trash my ones

I also don't care if they trash one for a movie. Those cars are usually beyond restorabiltiy anyway.

These two beauties I would have loved to keep and tidy them up. But according to orders from the previous owner they had to be cut into pieces.

Kind regards
Eberhard
