'88 300CE buying advice
I'm on the hunt again.....found a nice coupe that I hope only needs some TLC. These are some of the things I found:
underpriced by about $3000 which has me wondering why? Do these cars have similar water problems as 123's and is there any other common areas or items that I should take a special look at after I test drive it??? Thanks in advance, Kyle

I havent had any problems with water in my 1992 300ce.
I even had my windshield replaced. Is it possible there is a drain that is clogged? Posssibly. Windows being foggy? Is there a tint on it? Has the car had the valve seals done at least? What about anything else? Mileage? Records? Bad touchups, well most touch ups are sub standard in my opinion, unless someone works at them to carefully and precisely do it, most people who do touch ups just blotch it in there. I would have a PPI done no matter what on any car looking to buy. Alon

Hi Alon,
The car has 214,000 km and the car fax showed three owners. The water is probably a plugged drain somewhere, I assume the 124's have sunroof drains like the 123. I think it's my curse in life to have cars that leak.... My wife is going to take it for a drive tomorrow and let me know how it goes. If everything checks out then we will definitely do a PPI. I was just drooling over your website....your car looks sooooo sharp!
