do any of you think the w211 e class will bring back the old mb quality of the 80's? I think this might be one of mb's last chances to save it's image. If things don't improve would you leave mb and posibly look at bmw or stay loyal to the three pointed star.

For every MB I look at, its un-conditional quality ought to be implied. With the 210s, I guess there were just too many critics whose expectations were not met.

With the 211, I sure hope they live up to the billing of being in the prestige car market. However, like all electronics, some glitches is bound to happen though the challenge is to keep it minimal and respond efficiently to make its drivers happy.

Its a tough act to follow when competition is intense ...

...at our local showroom and it felt and looked just right. Apparently they have a problem with the brakes to straighten out but besides that the cars on the road are working fine.

I have the strong feeling that with the 211 Daimler ist turning back into the right direction.
