Pics of facelifted W220
The interior looks a lot nicer. Looks like MB took the critics seriously. Overall I like it, looks nice. It was time for a change. Can't wait until I see the new S/CL600 and S/CL55 in person. Those 2 are going to badass cars. One Supercharged, one Turbochaged I wonder what Brabus and RennTech have in store for the new 600 and 55 |

Looks great.
My dad can't wait to get his SL. Though he may cancel the order for the 500 and place an order for the SL600. I still want him to get the 55 though. Alon

Ive got two words for the S500 4Matic
Poor Audi....
Anyway, I wish to God Mercedes would market an AWD S600/S55. My father loves his S500 Grand Edition to death, but when i showed him a complete article about the new S-class, his exact words were "If they market a 600 with AWD, i'll just have to take on another car note". I posted a look at the new PRE-SAFE system, which to me is OVERKILL!!!!

Interesting.... it looks like I standed correct, the rear turn signals are in LED, too... ala Maybach..... Hm... SL side mirrors... I like current mirror housing better though.......
Interior looks pretty good so far.... looks more upscale(as it should be).... BTW, I think the interior pic is from a S600... IF, S500 gets the same treatment.... than, WOW... that's one hella quality boost.... Andy Kuo

The interior is hardly a revolution. In any event, the car in the pics has the leather-faced dashboard; it is highly unlikely that all S-Class models will get that. So we still need to see what the plastics that most models wll come with will be like.
I also note several instances of cost-cutting. Look at the switches either side of the hazard warning flasher switch: two single blocks of five small switches rather than ten individual switches. This is cheaper and nastier than what went before, not to mention ergonomically less satisfactory. Also look at the Command installation. Again, cheap and nasty and fiddly little switches all in a single block, rather than individual switches. As for the exterior, the new front lamps are more than a little Lexus.
