Whata bad August 1...

My dog died, My alarm didn't go off this morning, and I got my first speeding ticket in 11 years of driving.

I'm going to take things easy today. Hopefully nothing else bad will happen.

Ahhhh man Alon, real sorry to hear about all this. When it rains it pours :( Definately chill out, take it easy, take the rest of the day of for sure. Meditate and grieve some, allow the emotions to dissipate some before doing anything, especially driving....

The other two things are not that important, there's always on-line driving school, and you should be able to check whats wrong with your alarm.

Think positive, I'm sure NOTHING ELSE BAD will occur.

I know the alarm problem. I blame microsoft for that one. My system at hoem fronze overnight. I use it for my alarm clock. I forgot to set my normal alarm clock as I was up late dealign with the dog issue, and knew I had the computer always set. So I didn't bother with the standard alarm clock.

That was my fault for not being cautious.

Ticket. again I should have been careful to not speed. i knew the moment I passed the cop, and I knew he would make his way through traffic to me, and so I was just very polite, and he gave me an extra 30 days before needing to appear in court. so I have 60 days. He was nice, and I showed respect to him and all. Not a huge ordeal for me. traffic school is easy to get done, its the fees for everything I hate. I may just pay it and take the point, but I'd rather just try to keep it off my record if possible. don't want to mess with insurance if I can.

Oh, and BTW on the speeding ticket thing... don't feel too bad, I got 7 traffic tickets when I was 16!!! TERRIBLE! Thankfully, I've had only 2 tickets in the past 2 years and 55,000 miles of driving! I still drive a little fast, but I think that you just get smarter about it as you become a better driver! ;)
