500e
I was flipping through Auto Trader today and came across a 1993 Mercedes-Benz 500E. The going price was $21,000. I've heard of these before and know they are rare. How many where made? Do any ShopForum members own a 500E?

Please please do a search, I think you might be surprised! By the way, try not to read too much into the 500E or you might end up wanting one.

Numbers were a little over 900 brought to the U.S. for both 1992 & 1993.

Sounds a bit on the low side. How many miles? What kind of condition is it in? If it is well taken care of I'd condsider it. The 500e is what I would have if I could afford it but I can't - not yet at least. So I "settled" for a 400e. Not qite the same car but nearly half the price. This is a rare car. I live in West Hollywood and we see lots of EVERTHING and I see more Ferrari Marenellos than I see 500e's.

yeah I know what a 500E is...My friend has two..and just bought a C36....and I have a 94' E500....Yellow with white interior.....I worked at a mercedes shop for abt 3 years or so....IM a mercedes fanatic, you can say
.....the reason hes selling it is because he just got a 94' E500 too, and the C36....so he really doesn't need the other one....We live in the La Crasenta area..which is probably half/ to abt an hour away from you...if your intresested...call me at 818-395-4604...ask for Albert....if that don't work...call My friend at 213-952-0001 ask for David and tell him your from mercedes shop...
