In the UK, Autocar (used to be Autocar & Motor) is a good weekly read, but in the last year or so hasn't had so many of the cool articles they used to have

I find 'CAR' is pretty good these days. Tend to concentrate more on Performance/generally interesting stuff and less on euro-econo-hatch tests (Ford Mondeo, Vauxhall Vectra et al). Even when they do test boring cars, they always make it more interesting than Autocar do.

Cap't - I figured you would at least read the car review in the Dodge Co Gazette .
I read Car and Driver and SIA - Special Interest Automobiles which is put out by Hemmings Motor News and covers old cars and muscle cars. SIA is good reading.

The only ones I subscribe to are Reader's Digest, Aviation History, and Diesel Progress. I'll read most anything (except those teen girl magazines *shudders*) if it's handed to me, though.

Although, again, I'll read them, I never had enough interest in the auto magazines to actually subscribe to one...

I'm a sucker for car magazines and must spend a fair amount every month on them. I usually read them cover to cover in a day or so.

Car: used to be greeat (15 years ago), now too generic; like most car mags it's written by kids.
Autocar: generally good weekly paper.
Evo: the odd interesting article, mainly laddish fantasies.
Thoroughbred and Classic Car: nice pictures and interesting ads.
911 and Porsche World: interesting esoteric stuff.
Classic and Sportscar: vaguely interesting articles about "newer" classics.
Mercedes Enthusiast: keeps getting better.
Motorsport: probably the best racing car magazine in the world; really mature journalism.
Intersection: an exercise in typography, but very promising writing.

I also intermitently buy Road & track and Car and Driver, I like the longer, more grown-up articles.

I have been subscribing to the following for many years:

Automobile
Car and Driver
Road and Track
Motor Trend
Popular Mechanics
European Car

I purchase Mercedes Enthusiast whenever I can find it.

I just subscribed to 'Benzo' magazine. Click on the link from the home page on this site. Whoever came up with the name 'Benzo' anyway?

I will probably let the European Car subscription expire. I am tired of reading about all of the VW and BMW stuff. Not nearly enough content on Mercedes.

Autoweek
Air & Space Smithsonian
Warbirds Int'l
Flight Journal
Invention & Technology
There's another "Industrial history" type mag I get, can't remember the name now, i think it's a quarterly.
If I had more time to read I'd probably get my sub back to Cycle World too.
No Benz magazines, Benz sends me enough reading material for all of us!
I get several Sprite/Midget catalogs and freebie magazines (mostly ads, but hey, it's free stuff)
My wife gets Rolling Stone
Anyone here read "The Onion"?

Gilly

I did not pick up on the fact that we were to include all mags, not just car magazines. I also read Pulp & Paper, Power and Industrial Technology News.
