Brake pads on 95 C280
The warning light for the brake pads on my 95 C280 started glowing a couple of days ago. A little reading using the "search" feature of this forum hints that this is a job I'm capable of doing. Alldata rates the job as level "B" which is usually within my capabilities. It does mention a special tool for reinstalling the pads. Is this necessary?
How about replacement pads? Is there anything I need to know about them? Are some less dusty than others? Are there any hidden problems I should be aware of? In short any advice would be appreciated. Could I possibly sound more needy? Thanks |

Why not refer to the DIY section here at Mercedesshop,it has photos to help & can be easily cross referred to a C Class.
There have been numerous threads on relevant brake pads here too-l use the search facility here on this site.I personally would strongly suggest using OEM..for a variety of reasons. It is a job well within most amateur DIYs capabilities. Make sure that you renew the wear sensors..or you will end up with false wear warnings. Tigerfox |
