If Japanses=Rice then German=Saur Kraut?

I keep hearing people refering to the owners Japanese cars, especially modified, as "ricers" - It seems only fair/fitting to call those with modified German cars as "Krauters" or "driving kraut" - right? Or maybe Knockwurst? Or Schitzel? Now I'm getting hungry...what's in the fridge?

They are AMGers

What are referred to as ricers are those who install those gawdy spoilers, fart pipes, fat tires, and cover their cars with performance stickers. All on cars that are no faster, and in some cases SLOWER than stock with all the mods.

My uncle calls my cars Kraut cans all the time. I don't mind. I think rice can imply to any car put a loud weeeeehhh muffler on it thats rice put a 4 foot tall spoiler on thats rice. Say you put fog lights on a german car, putt small wires in a car, wipers on the headlights or anything like that I guess you could call it kraut if you like. But you won't here me going wwwweeeeehhhhhh down the street.

I call just about every Japanese car "riceburner" :D

I'll admit that, when a frined of mine was regularly driving a '98 VW Golf GTI, I would jokingly call his car a kraut car...his response would always be "Excuse me, but it's 'BEER CAR' thank you very much!"...

The ones with the 8" pipes, I usually refer to as weedwhackers...simply 'cause that's what they sound like.

Yugoslavia - the venerable Yugo. But I don't know what there culinary bent is there.

Lada or Skoda (don't know if either is a model or make) from Russia - don't know what they like to eat there.

Technically pasta is a Chinese cullinary technology imported to Italy by Marco Polo.

I think that the Delorean was produced in Ireland. Again I don't know what they are into food wise.

Guess I need to get out (to eat) more!

Skoda is from the Czech Republic, not Russia. (Now owned by VW)

I think the term "riceburner" was coined, by Harley riders, in the late 60's and early 70's, for the two wheel rocket ships, like the Kawasaki H1, Mach III, 500cc two stroke.

If you wanted to go fast on two wheels back then a 1200cc Harley was the only game in town.

The H1, looked like a Honda 250, sounded like a little two stroke toy, and took everyone by suprise. Out of the box, you had a 12.2 sec 1/4 mile bike , in stock condition.

At the time the only car out of Japan that made you look, was the Datsun 240Z, we must respect these vechicles.

The new, two wheel rice rockets handle and stop a lot better than the H1, but have a hard time kicking it's butt down the 1/4 mile!

As for the new 350Z, Yikes! watch out 500E, the new four wheel rice rocket is here.

As for me, I love my cars, and If I had room for a new Harley, I would get one, and, it would be nice to have Mach III too!

We all love our Mercedes Benz automobiles, because they are in a class of their own!
