There is a BMW mailing list run by a good friend of mine Rob Levinson. Go to http://www.bubbaclub.com/bmwuucdigest/
The list is well run and has a very good quality signal/noise ratio among its posts. Say hi to Rob for me. His list is the closest thing I've seen to a MercedesShop for BMW owners/enthusiasts. Enjoy...Lee |

Just finished it cover to cover. A great book to have around even though it's not directly MB related material. Most of the articles and tips can help to better your Mercedes-Benz "driving experience" so to speak. Highly recommended. Available at Borders and Barnes & Noble for around $30. Too bad no one has written a Benz equivalent! I guess they figure MB owners as people with more money than sense who have their work done at dealers. Shame shame. ------------------ Rgds, Aaron Greenberg MB technician Precision Motorcars, Cincinnati, Ohio '67 250SE Cabriolet '77 450SL '79 6.9 '80 300SD '85 380SE '89 420SEL '93 300E 2.8 |

try www.roadfly.com, I believe this is the former www.bimmer.org board and there should be a seperate forum for each model series.
But, of course, no site could be as good as this one.

References to a good BMW site?
No, I'm not abandoning my favorite marque. But my little brother has done it again. Anyone see the reference last week that the Gumball rally was coming to America? Well, my brother has entered and been accepted. One small problem - he now needs a Gumball appropriate car. Despite my attempts to steer him toward a reasonable car (something new, something with a warranty, something made by MB...) he has fixated on getting an 8-series BMW - an E31, I think it's called. These are relatively rare birds - I've only occasionally seen one, never even met anybody who owns one. So we need to learn about the car. Can anyone point me to a BMW site that is, oh, 10% as useful as MBshop? Better yet, anyone have any first or second hand experience with this car? Thanks,
- Jim |
