Celebrity Watch!

Just thought I would share with you guys, Pulled up to the stoplight today and had to take a double look. Michael Jordan pulled up next to me in an Exursion. He was the passenger when I glanced over I noticed him checking out sadie and making a comment to the driver who I think was an assitant coach for the wizards. He gave me a nod and traffic began to move. I had just left the carwash I am sure thats the only reason it caught his eye.

The Washington Wizards come to town this time every year for pre-season training. I think It was Michael's choice since he is from here. Last year I saw Him cruising around the beach in his Burgandy S600 with Chrome 20's

I saw Vince Carter'S CL500 at a Benz Dealer in Toronto. He was having 20 inch rims put on. Didn't see him, just his car.

Dennis Rodman lives here in Newport Beach.... I see him from time to time. He's a real low-life though... he has many problems with the city of Newport Beach, he's always throwing parties, causing big problems etc.
There's my 'celebrity watch.'

Anyone spot any "non-athletes"?

I can spot Dallas Cowboy players everywhere! My office building is not to far from Vally Ranch where they practice during the season.

Also see them lumbering out of their S600s at the service bay at Park Place Motors...

...I'm not a sports nut, so I don't ever bother them when I do see them.

I see Katie Holmes (dawsons creek) all the time. She almost merged into me the other day in her honda del sol. She lives at the beach with her boyfriend Chris Klein (american pie). She is very pretty but nothing out of the ordinary in person, however she is very nice and polite unlike some celebrities.

Sitting next to Jug Nelson in a sushi restaurant for dinner in the Santa Monica Palmalade.

Flew with Antonio Banderas from the West coast back to BWI in first class.

Watched Charlie Sheen making movie in Inner Harbour, Baltimore after dinner one night. The scene for Major League in which he rode the motocycle on the waterfront.

Flew with Lou Dobb of CNN from NY back to BWI a few years ago.

Watched Stallone making movie in Toronto while I was on business. Forgot the name of the movie, but it was about racing that came out last year.

I sat two seats behind Alan Alda in first class yesterday flying from New York to LAX. Very nice man.

I also sat next to John Goodman in first class from LAX to New Orleans this March just before Mardi Gras. He was polite but quiet, and slept the whole way.

Cap'n n Tenille??

anyway - I have shaken hands with Clint Eastwood (I did not realize he was as short as he is) and spoke with "Kelly Bundy" (Christine Applegate) from Married With Children and saw Kevin Spacey at the same party. It was a big blow out the wife and I went to in Savannah, Ga for the "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" premier. Pretty neat party but Kelly bust my bubble when she lit up a cigarette. I always liked to watch her on Married with Children.

I could have sworn it was Matt Damon who let me into traffic turning east onto US Route 34 in Naperville. Illinois on Tuesday, Oct. 1/02.

Whadda guy!

Music folk and Titans.

Ronnie Dunn, of Brooks & Dunn, rolls down the window at a redlight and asked me who restored my car. It is a 1991 190E and, yes, it does look that good. He has a black S600, by the way.

Blaine Bishop's (ex-Titan, now an Eagle) wife and my wife work out at the YMCA 4 days a week together and I see them all the time. She has an Ice-Silver (don't know the actual name) G500 that is tricked out with 20" chromes and black windows.

Jevon Kearse -- see him all the time at Neely's barbecue -- a super hot wing place here in Nashville. S600 and Escalade.

Steve Winwood -- his wife had a baby in the room next to ours when we had one.

Wynona Judd at church -- she had on this poncho thing and looked like Jabba the Hut.

I've met most of the NASCAR guys -- Darrell Waltrip, Earnhardt, Jr., Sterling Marlin, Bobby Hamilton, Tony Stewart. I used to moonlight at the local NASCAR short track.

My kids trick-or-treated (is that a word?) at Eddie George's house last October. He tripped over the doorsill. Just kidding about that part -- the footballers will get the joke.

Derrick Mason (Titans) lived in my neighborhood for 2 years. Moved when he got the 20 million contract. I would have, too.

Alan Jackson and family eating at the table next to our at a local Mexican joint. You know his adaptation for Ford trucks? "Crazy 'bout a Ford truck?" Well, he was driving a Chevy Blazer, well, Tahoe, now.

Bill Frist, Fred Thompson, Gandolfini from the Sopranos, Martina McBride in the shoe dept.

Nashville is a happening place!

One of my aunts works as a seamstress, making outfits/costumes for TV shows and the occasional movie. While Deep Space 9 was in production, she worked there regularly...she picked me up at the airport once and took me into work, and I was sitting there reading when Armin Shimerman walked in...in full Ferengi make-up. I was too stunned to say anything (I was 14 or 15 at the time). I've seen a couple other Star Trek type people, including George Takei and Colm Meaney.

On a bit of a side-note, my aunt also worked on "The Cell"...and was once telling us that Jennifer Lopez was a real PITA to work with; she was late or absent to quite a few fitting sessions, and when she was there, she wasn't exactly polite... The same aunt also lived two stories directly above "Weird" Al Yankovic for a spell.

My mom once got on an airplane and wound up sitting next to Huey Lewis. She's a big fan, and it was all she could do to keep herself contained...

Also, my dad used to be an apartment building manager. The building was set up so that you couldn't get in unless you had a key or someone in the manager's office "buzzed" you in. This was long enough ago that I don't remember this, but my dad told me that I once buzzed Grace Slick in (she was doing some sort of special celebrity Meals-On-Wheels delivery to an invalid tenant).

Last but not least, my grandfather runs an old sash-and-door business (essentially the precursor to a hardware store). Before he became famous (early to mid '70's), Harrison Ford worked as a carpenter to make ends meet, and he was a regular customer.

There may be more (my family's from the L.A. area), but I can't think of anything else right now...

I have seen Tori Spelling a few times. I have a friend that lives in the same apartment (can you believe that, APARTMENT for Tori!?) complex near Westwood off Wilshire. Funny vibrant girl.
I've also seen Jacki Chan shopping on Rodeo Dr.!! That was a trip. Oh and the young, "main character" in BOY MEETS WORLD.
