check engine light on in wife's car
the wif's car had it's check engine light on for 1 yr and finally i had heard enuff of her ' you're always working on your car, what about mine?!?!?' rant and so took it to autozone yesterday and they pulled and cleared the codes - for free! wow the dealer would've charged 60 bux to do it. i was so psyched i even replaced the plugs (real pita job on a vw) and changed the oil for her.
i'm out of the doghouse ... for now anyway  anyone else have a ranting wife story!? (car related of course)

update
she likes the increased power and no CEL so much i'm def out of doghouse , and she even washed it herself.. wow maybe we're on to something here!!

I took mine to AutoZone and they sayed
No , Take it to Pep Hoe's! Went to Pep Hoe's and they wanted to charge me $75.

My wife whined about a yellow "engine" light on the 300E a week ago thinking serious repairs were impending.
Turned out to be the coolant level sensor. Plenty of coolant in the tank, so I just cleaned the contacts, and the light never came back on. Now she says "when am I going to get cable moden in the house?"
