Somehow, I don't they're running the original motor in this thing. Didn't have a chance to get vitals, but it scoots pretty good. :D

We need to get him some pro-car-parts clear corners, so we can clear up the confusion as to wether they are durable or not ! :D  :D

Imagine if someone pulled the engine out of a 300SD and put a Cummins 5.9 liter Six with some mods on it into the engine bay (hood would probably have to go bye bye, and front suspension mods would be required...not to mentions a hell of a lot of other stuff). http://www.thedieselpage.com/features/project2.htm Not Dodge, but you get the idea... -Sam |

I've actually ridden on one of those seriously souped-up B-series Cummins Dodges...quite impressive. I drove one once, with some relatively minor mods. Fastest vehicle (g@$ or diesel) I've ever driven. And 500K easy-to-do miles to boot. And people wonder why I want to put a 6BTA in my F-250... ;) Actually, I wonder how a 4BTA would do for mileage in a 123? Especially if an overdrive tranny was put in place...? Even the 4 cylinder 3.9l version's gotta have enough juice to move a 300D at the same speeds as a 617 would, with enough of an overdrive ratio. Hmm...wonder what kinda RPM's (and therefore mileage) that would be able to do at 70...? :) |
