sucks to start all over

I was a senior member, but for some reason my cookies or something disappeared and I had to relog in. But the problem was that I forgot my password, and the e-mail that is under my previous nick is no longer in service. Anyway, I am back to junior member with only a few post to my name. My previous nick was cossie :)

I had the same prob with yahoo. Instead, it kicked me out in the middle of a password change and then accepted NONE of my passwords! I put in a different city originally and couldn't get my account back!!

Try e-mailing Bill Wood - maybe he can straighten things out for you on the password issue and restore your access.

You can always just give a bunch of empty one sentence responses to every post that is out there to increase the number of postings so you can move up quicker. :) Just kidding. I saw some guy doing that and it was pretty funny and pretty obvious. E-mail Bill and see if he can help you out.

tank,

that happened to me on yahoo too, but a simple search on usenet turned up their unlisted number! i got my account reset, no problem. they are notorious for burying all this information even if they are offering so many services now.

TANK 10-22-2002 02:16 AM

Thanks jsmith!! This I did not know. Also, watchout on yahoo! I have to enter my password twice now on my new account every time I go in! This could confuse a lot of people into thinking their password doesn't work. For me it is just nerve-racking.

don't you think yahoo has a nice little racket going? they now charge for many of their services. just try looking for a number to call anywhere on their website though, it's not there! there's a growing tide of anti-yahoo sentiment because of their policies, unfortunately they have almost no competition for many of their services...

TANK 10-22-2002 02:00 PM

Oh no it's Microsoft all over again!!! That's what I was thinking too when I couldn't find a number!
