It's hard to tell the make of the car, but it sort of looks like a '70's or 80's era Rolls Royce.

I'm thinking an older Rover--maybe 60's or 70's. I like the Citroen.

Damn the 2CV is such a classic!!! I used to see them run around in Jakarta, Indonesia especially when Citroens and Peugeots were still hot-sellers.
ps I still love Pugs.. if only they had 406's here...

It is a Rover P6 with the V8 which Rover inherited from Buick.
Something like 1500 cars got sold in the US. Very, very interesting car to drive. The Citroen is a 2CV6 with less cylinders. Two opposite. Kind regards Eberhard

It is a Rover P5B. The 'B' is for Buick, referring to the source of the V8 engine. there is an interesting history of this legendary engine in Thoroughbred and Classic Cars November issue. The engine is still fitted to the Land Rover Discovery and our 1999 Range Rover is fitted with a 4.0 litre version.

no, it's a P6B, NOT a P5B.....
.... I must know, I am the owner ;-)
P5 is the more distinguished and more upmarket body design, made between 1959 (I believe) and 1970. The P6 was a much smaller design from 1963, originally fitted with a 4 cylinder 2-litre engine and sold as the Rover 2000. It received the probably most euphoric review that was ever published in "Car and Driver" ever: "We think it's an automotive milestone. When every car in sold the U.S. would be as good as the Rover 2000, they could raise all speed limits by 15 mph and still get less accidents." (but it did not sell at all in the U.S.) In Europe, it remained in production since 1976. It's the last-ever production car that was made by The Rover Company and not by British Leyland (or British Elend, as they call it today....) The model with the ex-Buick engine was introduced in 1968 as the Rover 3500. It's in fact a small car, about the size of the W201 Mercedes, with the exeption that at least two people will comfortably fit inside ;-) but still almost as heavy as a W123 Merc.... cheers Thomas - ex W123 200D owner

Well, if you stay away from the ones build under Britsh Leyland you get a pretty decent car. No trouble with the electric, so far.
The spare on the trunk is a nice feature. Gives you extra space in the trunk if you need it But we finally took the W 115 for the trip. Kind regards Eberhard
