WHEW!!!!!!!!!!! My first tuneup!
This is probably lame to some of you, but baby steps!...
Just completed my first tuneup- went to start her up and imagine my shock when she popped, puttered and bounced around! I calmed myself down- traced everything and realized that two plug wires were connected wrong-switched them and tried again. Started right up and sounds great! Smooth running! What satisfaction doing it yourself!

welcome mbdad to the world of DIY MB-maintenance! It's pretty amazing the sense of satisfaction one gets knowing they've done something good for their fine auto, saved some money, and saved yourself a trip to the local tech! Three birds with one stone!
Warning! This will likely lead to other things: aquiring of tools, tackling more and more complex tasks, and spending much more time at mercedesshop ordering parts and searching the forum archives  Congrats! - Ryan
