Movie Titanic: did Rose die in the end?

This is a dumb question, but who in here thinks that Rose died in the end of the movie titanic?

If you remember correctly, in the very end of the movie, it shows her pictures and she was asleep and then the ship came back to life and jack dawson was waiting for her by the clock and everyone was waiting for her and clapping.

I thought it was just a way for the movie producers to end the movie in a good way or she was just dreaming, but people tell me she died in the end in her sleep.

Any thoughts?

This may sound like a stupid question, but why are you thinking about the end of Titanic?

I think she was dreaming. Wait until the sequel comes out and you'll see. It will be like when Bobby Ewing died on "Dallas", then months later, woke up !!

I have ALWAYS wondered the same thing! I think she did, but I'm not sure.

Titanic is one of my favorite movies!

LOL, well so far its a tie on whether she was dreaming or died, lol.

Volk, this guy and i had an arugment about it a week ago. I have no idea how it was brought up but hes like she died i said not. I have no idea how this conversation came up

How about the ending in Vanilla Sky? Does anybody think that tom cruise was just dreaming or that he died in the car accident or that he really did wake up in the future?

P.S. i hate movies that make you wonder like that u know...

They sure would have to have characters with unlucky lives if there is a sequel to "Titanic".

That guy in that Britney Spears video got it and brought it back to her!

Funny I was wandering the same thing the other day. I was looking at some titanic books in the mall and thought about that pic of Rose on a horse and a plane and what ever else. I thought did she die? Hmmmm what a weird bunch we got here.

later,

She died. Watch the closing scene again where everyone is gathered at the stair case -- if you notice, they all died at one point or another. A strange twist on the "meeting in the kingdom."
