What Daewoo built
I saw this picture in the Saturn forum. Couldn't belive how blatant of a ripoff the car is. I wonder if paying copyright infringement lawsuits had something to do with the demise of Daweoo.

I saw a Hyandai car that had a front that looked like an S-class mercedes. The lights especially.

Yep... It's nice
I've seen one of these cars up close, when I was stationed in Korea with the Army. They're nice, though I'm not sure of the overall quality, as I never got to actually drive one. As I remember, they were'nt exactly cheap, though, and no, they weren't supposed to be available anywhere but South Korea.
SSangYong was primarily a sport ute and truck manufacturer, but I think they were bought out entirely by Daewoo a couple of years ago. I'm not sure the Chairman is in production any more. Gil |

I drove in one of those things this summer, daewoo 140 I call them. They look pretty nice, and luxurious, and I was told they are not much more then half the price of a 140.
Obviously that will affect the material and build quality. Just read the article. Looks like its based on the w124. In person it looks identical to a 140, strange. |
