Grass Driving

Has anyone here ever driven on grass for any length of time?

In England their autocrossing is actually done on grass I heard. It sounds weird and messy. Does anyone know how fast those guys are usually driving?

I have heard driving at more than a crawl on wet grass is worse than snow or slick roads

wet grass is sliiiiiiiiipery that's for sure!! I havn't done any "extensive driving" on it for obvious reasons, but cutting across wet grass fields has proved fun and interesting before. I dont know about snow, never driven on it, but certainly worse than a wet road.
