Alon,
Looks great! You must be excited to have it back soon. :)

I'm extremely excited, I can't wait to be able to drive my car again. I hate driving that crappy volvo s-80 rental. It really does not drive nicely at all compared to a benz.

Looks Great!

That's some impressive bodywork!

So will you have your car back in time to bring it to the GTG next weekend? Hope you can make it.

Glad to see your car getting back to its former glory!

Is that a Jaguar X-type in the background (behind yours)? How is the US opinion of that? Over here, it is very cheap and being based on the low-budget Ford Mondeo really puts people off. Jaguar are damaging their image and soon may not even have much of one. They should at least make their *first* small car UNBEATABLEY good, at nearly any expense (a la 190E), get the respect for it and acknowledgement of it being a true Jaguar. Once its accepted, you can allow this sort of cost cutting (W202 C-class quality, anyone?)

Which causes problems again - in the UK, many people bought the W202 C-class when it was launched in.. 1993 (?), and then took the cars back to the dealers wanting their 190Es back.

I think Jaguars image is stronger in America than the UK though.

later!

EDIT: the S80 is a disappointment too? All the new Volvos I've driven have been. I thought quality, ride, refinement, stability etc would be real strongpoints for them, but they were never very good to me.

william rogers 11-16-2002 03:43 PM

Congrats.. At least it's all together

Russ, the volvo is a nice driving car if you like front wheel drive, but for me, compared to a benz, there is no comparison. The quality and ride of a benz is sooo much nicer, that I don't even consider anything about volvo luxury, though I do like the new volvo convertible and coupe, now those are some nice looking cars. you know how MB tex interior still has that aura of quality and craftsmanship? well the seats in the volvo look like leather, but feel like plastic.
