New found respect for cops

I'm driving home from Iowa yesterday morning. All of a sudden traffic slows, I see a bunch of people getting on the brakes. It's 6:30am, it's not rush hour in Cedar Rapids (not like there's any) so maybe it's an accident. I see cars moving over to the left lane. Then I see signal flares and a lone police cruiser. We're all rubbernecking of course. As I pass I see a lone state trooper hunched over the remains of a pretty big piece of roadkill. He was trying to clean it up with a shovel. This thing was big, I couldn't figure out what it was, but it looked like a truck had cleaved it in half from the chest up and ground it up under its giant wheels. The guts were nice and fresh, you could see it trying to ooze out of the body cavity. Fuq, I had to fight hard to keep from tasting my Egg McMuffin again.

What a lovely job.

OK fine, make fun of me. Yeah, I eat McFood because it's convenient. It's the safe bet when you're on the road. I just stay away from french fries. They always seem to disturb my digestion.

Hey Tank, wanna come over for dinner? Don't ask what's for dinner.

LOL.. all this McTalk is reminding me of "Fast-Food Nation".. a book I am writing about. Reminds me to get my stuff done ASAP.
