"Ding King" DIY door ding extractor, does it work???

Sounds and looks promising. Has anyone had experience with one of those? I see the ads on TV all the time.

I've heard that these actually do work well on Japanese cars since their sheetmetal is very thin. I know someone who has used it successfully on a Honda Accord.

I've heard that they don't work on Mercedes because of the thickness of the metal used. I don't know anyone who has tried it on a Mercedes so I'm not speaking on experience just what I've heard.

Being a charter member of the "fool and his money are soon parted club" I impulse bought one of these things for $29.95 at target. For that sum, I got a 1 ounce bottle of isopropyl alcohol, a cheap hot glue gun, some black glue sticks, a plastic scraper (to get the glue off) and a couple flat rubber discs on a screw. You hot glue the rubber disc to the dent, put the bridge over the screw, twist on the thumb screw and...voila...nothing happens. I tried in on several types of little dings on my Mercedes - didn't work on any of them. Instructions say it might take several trys - I tried 10 times on one ding => nothing.
I have one for sale cheap. Wanna join the club?

Thanks for all the info. Looks like they're not that good after all. Probably better to invest in a real ding puller.
