My town is now famous!
Well, sort of. If any of you get Rolling Stone magazine, I guess there is a big article about drugs and such. I haven't seen the magazine yet, but the talk is all over the place here. My little hole in the wall town of Granite Falls, Wash is supposed to named as one of the biggest meth(you know, drugs) capitols of the nation. And boy, are we proud of that
(I know my signature says "Arlington". That's my mailing address. I live 10 miles from there, but only 2 miles out of Granite Falls. Go figure)

Rick,
I suppose my tour of the Pacific Northwest should start right in Granite Falls You could take me around to all the 'hot spots' and when I wake up several days later (probably in Mexico) I can ask drbrandini to drive down from San Diego and pick me up |

In Roswell, the 'biggest' problem is illegal entry of cars....

I had heard about the problem in Wenatchee several years ago right after friends of ours moved there to get away from all the "bad influence" that our town was having on their kids. Then they moved out to the middle of Montana to get away from that. Last I heard their oldest daughter was having a shot-gun wedding. No where is "safe"!

If you live in North Wenatchee though, and never venture below Orondo Street (down South, 123c will know these things) you'll have an image of a bucolic little town with a strip-mall mainstreet. Go south of there, and it's a whole 'nother world. I'd feel much better living in Wenatchee than living in Tacoma, though. Want to talk about crime and general sketchiness? -Sam |

Maybe I'd better get an issue to make sure I'm not one of "them"!

If there's an area with more crime problems in WA that anyone else can think of, lemme know. Oh yeah, Eric, you been to that second-hand store on like Chelan or Mission St. that boasts that they have "2000 Guns" or something like that in a sign painted on their wall? I've always wanted to go in there and check the veracity of that claim. -Sam |
