Forum Military Veterans LOGIN
It has been mentioned lately that our general membership is probably older than most so our percentage of vets may also be high...
Please state ( in this order ) 1. Start and End date of service 2. Branch 3. Job description 4. Posts where stationed ( and dates ) 5. any interesting stories you want to relate... Mine: 1. I took a cargo ship to VN which left Beaumont Tx.... took 30 days to get to DaNang with the Conex Containers.... NO STOPs on the way.... I had a suntan and handlebar mustache when I got there...looked like I had been there for years.....LOL My father retired from the ARMY ....He was with the 112th CAV (with horses) in South Pacific during WW2. Had malaria and Dengy fever there and I was born at Ft Sam Houston (San Antonio) while he was recovering from those fevers....then he spent rest of time as Criminal Investigator attached to the Corp of Engineers at Cincinnati...
