Quel le Heck? France is Missing!

What happened to the lively discussion we were having about French culture?

BENZ-LGB 01-30-2003 04:13 PM

Good lord TxBill....

....I know what you wrote. Here in my county we prosecute people for using that kind of language:D

Le'French thread went au revoir (with apologies to all the Francophiles here)

I have nothing to say but sure hate for you to get home and be disappointed that there is nothing more on this thread to read... so I will remind you to send me the instructions on the tests you want done on that 240....:D

Have a nice day!:)

HAAHAAAHAhaa! Ditto! Well, I do like the wine.... ;)

the wine, yes the wine and i have to confess that some of the stinky cheese is irresistable...:p

Having been stationed in France (Twice) my observation is this thread refers to an oxymoron! I should not elaborate since it would require mentioning a country and culture.

leathermang 01-31-2003 12:40 PM

I did not even know we had any bases in France... or were you there but not at a base ?

Roger 01-31-2003 12:48 PM

We had many logistics bases in France prior to April 1, 1967. We and other NATO troops were diplomatically asked to be gone by that date. The French that depended on the U.S. presence for $$$ were not happy with us because we were leaving.

leathermang 01-31-2003 12:57 PM

No wonder, I went into the Army 1 march 1967.. and had never even heard anyone say they had been there... Between then and when we left France I was very very busy ( A2-1, Ft. Polk) :D

Huh huh huh

France is funny. But they do have some cars I like (Citroen, Peugeot) Everything else seems pretty bad though...

Now flame me for my capitalist pig rich American ignoramous antics!

Some of the contributors to this thread are displaying a sense of humour. I might have to report you all to the crypto-fasc... sorry, I meant, moderators. Remember, no jokes: you might be violative [is that a real word or a LA word?] of some laws. ;)

I like the Renault Clio Sport 172 and the Renault Clio V-6 (midengined 3.0 liter V6 with 230 hp in a car barely bigger than a Suzuki Swift).

"Pierre" is my name in French. Also, the animosity between TX Bill and Tank offends me ( no real reason, like reading posts by both of them). Plus French refusal to help US offends me. Please close this thread.

mikemover 01-31-2003 06:33 PM

Roger, I LOVE the Ben Franklin quote in your signature! :D I'm sure someone will eventually be offended by it. ;) ...sometimes truth hurts.

Piotr, You have done a wonderful job of learning the former tactics of some moderators... jab and close, post and close ...
Having shown that you have learned it well you will be saved from being thrown to the wolves by being picked to be a moderator... congratulations...
