do you zero your torque wrenches?

my old torque wrenches had warnings to keep it stored at the lowest possible setting to preserve accuracy. my newest Sears craftman special says nothing about it. i still keep it at the lowest setting just to be safe. what's the common wisdom on this nowadays?

You must have those new fancy click torque wrenches... mine have a pointer.. and if I look at it and it does not say " 0" I hit it with a hammer..

I think you are doing correctly... most things like this are calibrated springs... and like bows and cameras should not be store in the potential kinetic energy position....

Torque wrenches

Torque wrenches MUST be set at 0 and if you drop them or man handle them you MUST have them calibrated, aside from the normal yearly calibration for normal use.
