New E55
Saw the report for the E55 AMG the other day on Car & Driver. What a ride! 0-60 in 4.6 sec's! They actually talked up a Benz for once!
They said how it'll accelerate almost as fast as a Dodge Viper, but you get the comfort of the 4 door Benz. Of course it doesn't corner like a Viper, but I think I could live with that! Estmated cost is supposed to be around $75k. That puts it even cheaper than Viper I think.

That car is a monster. It has AMG's supercharged 5.5L w/ 470bhp if I'm not mistaken. That is a huge jump up from the stock E500 with it's 300+bhp. They have it slated to top 200 mph right?

I think the report did mention that it is still governor-limited to 155mph. Go figure! Yes, they did say the HP was like 469. They showed several heart-pounding burn outs. Wish I'd recorded the program!
