"Dampf Kraft Wagen"

More information at:

Information about DKW...

For commercials they used the translation: "Des Knaben Wunder" which means "The boys miracle"

Kind regards
Eberhard

I read that it also meant "Des Knaben Wunsch" ("Every Boy's Wish"). I heard, in its' later years, DKW was called "Das Kleine Wunder" ("The Little Wonder"). I Don't know if this was just a popular nickname. DKW's claim to fame was that, in 1931, they became the first automaker to mass-produce a front wheel drive car.

Happy Motoring, Mark
