Luxury Leather Goods

Can anyone recommend a purveyor of luxury leather goods(wallets, keyholders, bill clips, address books, etc)? Looking for something that is Coach quality but more discreet. This is a gift.

Dooney & Bourke...indestructible! My wife has a sizeable collection...3 purses, a wallet, briefcase, keychain, and a planner I had modified to accept the proprietary Franklin/Covey rings.

All of them are over 5 years old, and they all look as if they were purchased yesterday!

I ruined one very expensive handbag of hers (saddle soap is a no-no), and they allowed her to return it for a brand new one...even though it was about three years old at the time!

They make items for both men & women. It's pricier than Coach, but whatever you buy, it will be the last one you ever need!

Actually, I've always liked Coach's understated style. Wife has a purse, recently purchased a leather daytimer/PDA case for my Mom, nice simple lines imo.

Their logo is pretty discreet on these items anyway....

Vuitton, Fendi, Gucci, Versace, Prada (Sounds like a Mall near you?)

Coach is built like a Mercedes, like a tank and who gives a damn how heavy it is, it's going to last a long time! I have their belts and a classic zippered portfolio, and now I have to find someplace that still does gold stamping on leather to have it "personalized." It is American, if that's a buying point for you.

Braun Buffel (dont know how to spell it). It's German too

less known in the US. It's not quite MontBlanc status wise but it's not quite as expensive either.

Bosca, recognizable but not overly common.
