Vinyl dye
Well since I got screwed out of the black door panels I wanted to get because of my boss, I am now left with one option to do my interior project and thats to dye the interior parts I want to change the color of black.
Anyone used vinyl dye to dye their door panel parts etc? This is looking to be my only option. My boss made me miss my auctions for the door panels which I have been searching for for 2 years. The auctions ended with total cost for the panels being around $100. New the panels cost over $2000. I am so mad right now I am going to yell at my boss and quit my job. Alon

I assume you mean vinyl Paint,,, I have never heard of being about to actually dye vinyl....
I have used the MarHyde and it works great... clean with alcohol and take off the shine with light sandpaper rubbing... Then lay horizontal if you can... and use a tack coat... then spray to flow out....shake the cans often and well... |

I am waiting on responses from several upholstery places. the vinyl dye int he spray cans is not paint but an actual dye from what I understand.
World upholstery is a place I have contacted. Alon

Does it wear well, or rub off after a while?

dye
there is an local indy MB/BMW lot i visit frequently that "dyes" almost all the interiors they receive/sell. they do both tex and leather on alot of really high-end cars.
i am unsure of the exact product, but they use a airbrush for the application. the finished result is great! interiors that i thought looked good before, looked brand new after the dye touchup, especially the drivers seat that receives the most daily wear. it also works well on any areas that were sun faded. |

Hey Alon, check out www.car-part.com and search under 300E "interior panels, misc". I just did that and thre were over 8 pages of matches, some 300CE parts in there too. Good luck.
