Any S-Class owners (especially w126)

Do any of you S-class owners have a picture of the seat controls for the front seat (ie, the automatic seat adjustments)?

I am doing a design analysis promoting the intuition in this design for an advertising agency. I think for seat controls, this is just brilliant. I'd appreciate it a TON!

Eric

Does that $8 book show me how to trouble shoot that brilliant design?

Rick, do the older diesels not have power adjustable headrests? I have another smaller knob for adjustment of the headrest height, I notice your controls don't have that option.

No, my headrest is manual. Bummer!

Those seat controls were first freatured on the 1973 450SE/SEL along with the door mounted rearview mirrors we all now take for granted. The gated auto trans shift lever mechanism came out in 1963 when MB put their own autos in the cars. Other manufacturers are finally catching up.

The '85 W126 that I've got access to has power headrests. However, they are non-functional right now, which isn't a pressing issue.

A good thing is that my dad just had new fuel injectors put in the beast, which just cured a long-time rough idle problem.

"A seat in braille" is how one passenger described it to me. This was in the family Audi A8, which uses a similar design, but on the base of the seat, by the door.
