BTW- didn'tmean to offend anyone- My Bro lives in Toronto (but told me he wants to move to US- he is tired of socialism).

According to every single count including "chads that were for Bush, but we thought Gore simply deserved them more", Bush won in Florida. Therefore, he won electoral college- a very strange, but legal, institution in the US that actually elects the pres (not the "people" despite a popular belief). So, he was elected.

So far, Clinton/Gore are turning out to have been wrong on just about everything. So who is/was an idiot? Of course,I cannot believe Bush insists on saying "nucelar"- DRIVES ME NUTS!!!

hahaha...I agree, Piotr! I wish he would stop saying "nukelar" as well, but...I tend to be nitpicky when it comes to grammar and spelling. I've said before that I prefer a bumbling speech-giver who's effective to a well-rehearsed socialist mannequin any day...and I still do.

And yes, much to the chagrin of Democrats, liberals, socialists, and whiners everywhere, Bush WAS elected legally and legitimately according to our current system for presidential elections. If someone's not happy about it, then they should work to change the system. But just moaning and groaning about an "illegitimate president" is nothing more than being a sore loser. I voted for Harry Brown, the Libertarian, by the way...so don't anyone bother accusing me of "just defending my candidate".

Mike
