Here's another idea... clean out your keyboard. It seems your caps lock is sticking.

If a certain person has nothing constructive to add to this thread, please quit harassing those who are actually trying to help. Jeeze!

actually, my car has K-Jetronic... not sure if you missed my earlier post, but they switched during production. Am I wrong? Is there an ECU? BTW, K-Jetronic is mechanichal FI, not electrical. Maybe it's time for you to go back and do your homework. While you're at it, fix that dang keyboard, ok?

To save you time (and at the risk of being flamed) I'll do your research for you. "Unlike D and L types, that are electronic, [K] fuel delivery is mechanical and yet is, for the most part, a function of intake air flow" (BMW Enthusiasts Companion, P 106)

If our friend would get his arrogant nose out of the air and actually chime in with some real help, all this could have been avoided.

hey... you're the self proclaimed tech, yet you still haven't contributed anything constructive. I wouldn't trust you with my car... you can't even fix your keyboard! You'd probably sit around wondering how you'd diagnose the electrical problems with my K-jetronic... or better yet, you'd replace it with D because that's what they all have, according to you.

May as well drop this whole thing. I'm sure Zeggate has long since moved on.

I suggest you review the way you address the members of this site as they are 1) not kids 2) not your kids 3) probably even smarter than you are.

No flaming. Not hating. Just lovin' for the Mercedes Benz.

and it's guys with your logic (or lack thereof) that drove it straight into an iceberg! Again, if you want anybody to believe you can fix cars, first try your keyboard, the caps lock is still sticking. Sure, you can diagnose, but considering what you've said already, you seem more likely to be wrong because you have a closed mind. No, not all 450SL's have D-Jetronic. No, not all 450SL's have EFI. No, I'm not a girl. No, you still haven't contributed anything constructive to the conversation. Considering all the things you don't know, I would suggest you shut up.

sorry for the outburst mike, but I think this guy needs to stop being a know it all, and start contributing to this site in an intelligent, constructive manner.

Ok now no more name calling for anyone of you. If I hear something again, I'm gonna lock this, and call your parents.

I think you should lock this anyways... the thread has gone nowhere as far as it's origional intent, and it's only leading to further argument.

Not to be a party pooper!

I do not want to ruin all the fun, but why is this in "Open Discussion" when we have a specific forum for the "SL" models??
