Having trouble logging into the Forum

Anyone else having trouble logging into the Forum recently?

Last night through today I still receive email updates, but as soon as I click to read them, the system asks me to log on. After manually logging on and being "welcomed back", the system then keeps telling me to log on before I can read PMs, etc.

I'm not sure why/how I got logged on to post this thread. Whats' up with this??

PS Last night I also downloaded some Microsoft recommended updates onto my desktop. After that I began having touble. Related?

Thanks.

clear your cookies. sounds like a cookie problem

Clear the cookies, go tot he main shop forum page, and at the bottom on the right should be a login. log in and it should put in a new cookie.

Alon,

Thanks. I'll bet that's it because after I downloaded the updates, Microsoft put up a screen asking me to choose how much cookies I wanted to have people see on my computer, or something like that. I merely chose the defaulted position, which was in the middle. I'm heading out now, but will clear the cookies later tonight and see if that helps.

Thanks again!!

you may have to set your cookie settings to medium/low in internet explorer.

L. Nimoy,

Welcome!! You'll find a lot of good people and advice on this Forum.

The problem was unique to my computer after I set the cookies sensitivity too high. So you should be okay.

The problem wasn't unique to your computer - I had the same problem, which I solved by following Ashman's advice. It might be a northern Virginia problem!
