1000SEL, yea right... what a joker
check it out... a 500SEL that got a 5 liter upgrade just by re-badging it! LOL! this car is on ebay. it looks like a nice car, granted ill take it in a heartbeat.. but the badge? no...
you even get to see a video of it accelerating. why do people do those things! eric

There was a discussion on this a little while ago. The "real" 1000SEL's were aftermarket modified 560SEL's that were stretched about one foot and had all kinds of neat goodies, like window curtains, extra wood, a fridge, etc.

Checked out the ebay link, and this one isn't a real 1000SEL. The real one I have seen in person had an extra 14 inches or so of cabin, evidenced by the panel between the front and rear doors. This ebay model is lacking that.
